On February 2nd, 2025, at DLC Melbourne 2025, Jesse Lentini and Clément “Reclum” Fusade’s Top 8 game was streamed on the Disney Lorcana Twitch channel. Lentini and Fusade were tied at one game a piece, a final game deciding who would move on to the Top 4. Whoever won this match would win a Golden Mickey Mouse - Brave Little Tailor promo (at the time worth between $10,000 and $20,000), and have a chance at winning an invite to the Disney Lorcana World Championship 2024-2025.
During this game, Fusade called a judge in response to a play made by Lentini, where he played Merlin - Goat to gain a lore and banish his Magic Broom - Illuminary Keeper. Magic Broom’s effect gives its player the option to banish it, when they play another Character, in order to draw a card. Fusade allegedly claimed that because Lentini had already resolved Merlin’s effect, which is mandatory, he missed the timing where he could resolve Magic Broom’s optional effect. Ruling in Fusade’s favor, the judge had the board reset to the prior game state, sans allowing Lentini to resolve the effect he tried to earlier; the actual interaction with the judge was not shown on stream. Fusade would ultimately win the game and take second place at the tournament, winning both a Worlds invite and a Mickey Mouse promo.
Several Lorcana content creators and community members watching and/or streaming the match called out the ruling as incorrect, and accused Fusade of “rule-sharking”. It is worth noting Fusade has been accused of, and publicly confessed to, cheating before.
